Old Time Photos

First step in making an old time photo was to take a photo of ourselves and put it in a sepia tone, then make a copy of the same image. After that's complete you use the craquelure tool in order to make cracks in the image (as seen below).



The next step is to make an elliptical selection around the head and shoulders and put it in a vignette frame.



Now you must sample a color with the eyedropper tool and paint the white layer so that the background is a cream color. Select the outside area with the magic wand and select the inverse. After everything is selected use the cut out frame in the library.



The final step is to switch to the darken mode in the blending mode drop down bar. Your project is done and your face will be in and oval with a darker outline.

After we used photo shop to make our photos, we put then into frames with maps and a back covering.
